Due to the highly individualized nature of my work, decorative painting is priced per project. Slipcover prices can vary based on the nature of the details, but generally speaking: A 3-seater sofa runs between $500 - $600 for labour; 2-seater sofa runs between $400 - $500; Large armchair is about $300; Dining chair slipcovers (for example a Parsons chair) run $90 - $125.
Fabric estimates vary based on the style of the furniture & slipcover, and whether the fabric is plain or has a repeating pattern which requires matching or a direction to it. Obviously a plain, non-direction fabric will use the least yardage. I do not sell fabrics, although I can advise on where to find suitable fabrics at reasonable prices. If the client feels hopelessly lost as to how to look for fabric, I can provide the service of finding samples for a fee, usually 10% of the labour cost.
Labour costs for window treatments and soft furnishings are also individually priced, according to style & size.
I’m happy to provide an initial free consult within the areas of Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton. Longer distances will require a fee. However, I’d like to help make the decision-making process as easy as possible, and can provide assistance with choosing style, colour and mood. Sometimes we can make a decision on a decorative paint finish without making up a sample board; however, if samples are part of the decision-making process, the fee will usually be between $40 & $60.
